Produce professional brand story films for OBTNext CRA grantee businesses along the Orange Blossom Trail corridor, giving small business owners the marketing reach they couldn't afford on their own, and launch a youth AV training program to build local media careers from within the community.
The Orange Blossom Trail has carried decades of history. Real businesses, real owners, real investment in a corridor that has worked through cycles of disinvestment and slow recovery. The gap was never the quality of what these owners built. It was the marketing. Most small businesses on the OBT corridor couldn't afford professional video production, which meant their stories stayed invisible to the customers, partners, and community members who needed to find them. The Orange Blossom Trail Development Board, a nonprofit funded through Orange County's Orange Blossom Trail Community Redevelopment Area (CRA), partnered with Seer Productions to close that gap directly.
Seer Productions received a CRA grant to produce brand story films for five OBTNext grantee businesses along the South OBT corridor. Burney Services, a pallet company run by Dexter Burney, hauling away surplus pallets, sorting and repairing them, and supplying the tile companies, plant nurseries, furniture companies, and box companies that depend on them. Plywood Express, a family-owned wood panel supplier led by CEO Eduardo Silveira, with a warehouse and a new Orlando showroom. The Dirt Master, Marquis McKenzie’s cleaning company, providing second-chance employment and living by its slogan, “If we didn’t clean it, it’s not clean.” CNC Routing Orlando (Sil’s Woodworks), Silvio Giannetti’s CNC shop, cutting custom signs, lettering, cabinetry, and millwork that can’t be bought off the shelf, and building reusable wooden shipping crates. And Ivanhoe Park Brewing, a craft brewery that opened their taproom to a full two-camera interview production inside the space. Every shoot was designed around the business, not a template. Alongside the grantee films, Seer built and delivered a 16-week AV production curriculum. The APEX Live Media AV training series brought hands-on instruction in camera operation, lighting, audio, and live production to young people from the corridor, putting professional-grade gear in their hands and creating a direct path from the corridor into media careers.
Five businesses on one of Orlando’s most storied corridors now have professional brand films, the kind of production that previously required an agency budget most corridor businesses couldn’t touch. The APEX Live Media youth training program built a direct pipeline from the OBT community into careers in camera operation, lighting, audio engineering, and live production. The grant didn’t just fund videos. It built something that keeps working on the corridor long after the cameras packed up.
